Applications for the 2024 Data Service Grant are now closed.
What Do Data Grantees Receive?
Delta will select organizations for a 5 month service grant. The non-profits and social ventures selected will receive pro bono analytics and data management services provided by highly skilled fellows from data science, economic consulting and engineering backgrounds.
Who We Look For
This is a highly competitive grant, we look primarily at the organizations need for pro-bono consulting and the impact that our help could have. We want to work with high impact organizations who will use this fellowship in a meaningful way. The applicant should already have data collected and have a defined question in mind that they want to answer. Additionally, they should have at least one staff member with time to be a coordinator for the project and schedule regular check ins with the Delta team. See a more complete list of our FAQs here.
Application Process

Step 1: Application
Deadline: November 15th, 2023 Fill out the application (closed). The application helps Delta ascertain whether the project is a good fit. If you are unsure of whether Delta can help your organization, please reach out to us through our contact form! |
Step 2: Interview
Rolling Basis After receiving your application, we will reach out to schedule an interview with promising organizations over the phone or in person within two weeks to get to know you and your organization better and take a deeper dive into how Delta can collaborate with you to leverage data towards achieving your organization's mission. |
Step 3: Selection
Late 2023 Finally, we select our grant recipients to work with as part of our 2024 cohort! Once officially selected, we begin working closely with you to establish project goals and a roadmap on how our team plans to get there. |
Project Process
Once we start working with you, we staff a team of our fellows for a five month engagement. Our projects go through three major phases.

Phase 1: Project Scoping
In the project scoping phase, we complete a detailed proposal drafting process with you to define the scope of work, a project timeline, and the final deliverables. |
Phase 2: Project Execution
Our team begins work on the project. Expect regular updates and collaboration as we fine tune our analysis and tools for your organization! |
Phase 3: Project Delivery
At the end of the project we deliver all materials specified in the scope of work and celebrate with you and your organization for bringing greater data driven impact closer to reality. |
