From 2017 to 2021, each Teaching Fellow volunteered their time for free to build, code, and teach a curriculum that makes machine learning tools and knowledge more accessible to communities around the world.
Past Delta Teaching Fellows, 2017 to 2021.
In 2021, the teaching fellows team worked on two initiatives in parallel. Amanda Su, Brian Spiering, Melissa Fabros, Alicia Tsai, Mélisande Teng, Nicole Orzan, Ugaso Sheikh-Abdi, and Riddhi Dasani supported the Global Teaching Fellows program. Sara Hooker, Raul Maldonado, Hani Adam, and Allie Wang collaborated on curriculum development efforts. Our 2021 global teaching fellows were Simret Araya, Irem Ergun, Joana Iljazi, Gideon Onyewuenyi, Khalid Saifullah, and Cynthia Thinwa.
The 2020 teaching fellows team included Sara Hooker, Amanda Su, Brian Spiering, Melissa Fabros, Alicia Tsai, Raul Maldonado, and Allie Wang. The 2020 global teaching fellows were Aseda Addai-Deseh, Chima Ibebunjoh, Dina Machuve, Gbemileke Onilude, and Krish Sharma. Our teaching fellows team developed and delivered a set of modules focused on teaching best practices, and provided regular mentorship to support Delta Analytics' first cohort of Global Teaching Fellows.
The 2019 teaching fellows team included Sara Hooker, Amanda Su, Brian Spiering, Melissa Fabros, Lina Huang, Mario Carrillo, Sydney Wong, Rasiga Gowrisankar, Alicia Tsai, Andy Kim, Alvin Wu, Geoffrey Wang, and Raul Maldonado. They focused on exploring active learning techniques and adding materials to complement our curriculum.
The 2018 teaching fellows team included Sara Hooker, Hannah Song, Amanda Su, Brian Spiering, Kevin Pan, Melissa Fabros, Lina Huang, Mario Carrillo, Sydney Wong, and Parikshit Sharma. They worked on developing new code and theory-based modules, and brought our curriculum to more communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and across Morocco.
The 2017 teaching fellows team included Sara Hooker, Hannah Song, Amanda Su, Jack Pfeiffer, Kevin Pan, Rosina Norton, Patrick Sun, Melissa Fabros, and Emily Rourke. They built the content and provided the teaching and technical support that made the first iteration of our introduction to machine learning for good class in Nairobi, Kenya possible.
